Food safety

Food safety regulates the relations with food, protects the public from the harmful and hazardous effects of food and materials in contact with food at the service provision stages of food, materials in contact with food, food chain, trade and public catering.

The main objective of the sphere is to protect the public health from possible harmful effects of food (“from farm to fork” or “field to table” principle), as well as the provision of food safety in food production, storage, handling, processing and marketing stages, the provision of state control at the stages of food production, circulation or food chain with traceability principle and other key issues.
The issue of food safety sphere is the provision of safety guarantees of human life, health and environment at all stages of the food chain.
