Food safety, which regulates relations related to safety at the stages of food supply, materials in direct contact with food, food chain and trade and public catering, as well as the consolidation of guarantees for the protection of human health, provided by the state and harmful, is an area of protection from hazardous influences.
The main objective of regulation of the sector is to protect public health from possible harmful effects of food products (farm-to-fork or field-to-table principle), as well as to ensure food safety at the stages of production, storage, transportation, processing, sale, manufacture and circulation of food products or to ensure state control of food products at the stages of the chain using the principle of traceability and other key issues.
The mission of the food safety sector is to ensure the safety of life, human health and the environment during activities at all stages of the food chain.
